Music Lessons
Below is a list of recommended music teachers within our congregation. If you are a member of MPFBC gifted in music and would like to be listed as a teacher on this page, please contact Josh Sutton or Scott Cutchins.
Katie Sutton – Voice
Katie Sutton specializes in voice lessons, particularly for youth ages 10-18. After completing her degree from Liberty University in 2005, she taught music and chorus at Tattnall Square Academy in Macon, Georgia, for three years before relocating to the Lilburn/Stone Mountain area. She has also been teaching private voice lessons for six years to a wide range of students from beginner to adult technique work.
Katie has a diverse background in vocal performance, ranging from classical and madrigal training to pop and contemporary performance. She has also traveled all over the United States as well as to Europe to sing and perform at various venues. She was also privileged to record a demo CD for Atlantic Records.
Katie’s passion for vocal music fuels her desire to teach each student to develop his/her own unique instrument using techniques such as sound placement and breath control. She also works with range expansion, different musical genres (modern and classical), and dynamics in order to produce versatile and confident singers.
